Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and company vision
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology) for strategic integration
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype 2026-ready solutions
- Partner with R&D to validate feasibility of futuristic concepts
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members
- Monitor global tech policy shifts and regulatory landscapes affecting 2026 tech landscape
- Mentor junior strategists in future-focused methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ in emerging tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products/services
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, neurotech, or synthetic biology
- Strong financial modeling for tech investment scenarios
- Experience with global regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in Austin tech ecosystem highly valued
