Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies including quantum AI, neural interfaces, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional initiatives between engineering, policy, and commercial teams
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive opportunities
- Present findings to C-suite executives and government innovation councils
- Manage a $15M+ innovation portfolio with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and global innovation hubs
- Author thought leadership papers on future technology adoption curves
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or futures research
- Proven track record in scaling breakthrough technologies from concept to market
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AGI
- Advanced degree in relevant field (PhD/MSc preferred) with peer-reviewed publications
- Experience interfacing with regulatory bodies and standard-setting organizations
- Exceptional data modeling skills with proficiency in scenario planning frameworks
- Portfolio demonstrating successful technology commercialization
- Certification in Futures Studies or Strategic Foresight (e.g., APF, WFS)
