Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in emerging domains (quantum computing, biotech integration, neural interfaces)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape evaluations for next-gen technologies
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to secure $50M+ annual innovation budget
- Mentor a 15-person research team of PhDs and industry veterans
- Present strategic vision to investors and board members quarterly
- Drive partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich)
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ in executive roles
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (minimum 3 successful launches)
- Expertise in quantum computing, AI governance, or sustainable tech systems
- Strong network within Silicon Valley and global tech innovation circles
- Published research in IEEE/ACM journals or equivalent industry publications
- Experience managing $20M+ R&D budgets and teams of 20+ researchers
