Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market projections and regulatory landscapes
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, decentralized AI)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive innovations and competitive threats
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish governance frameworks for ethical AI adoption and data sovereignty
- Drive partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Manage $5M+ R&D budgets for experimental technology initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record of scaling at least one breakthrough technology from concept to market
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuromorphic chips, or Web3 infrastructure
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed tech journals
- Experience with regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies (FDA, FCC, etc.)
- Fluency in Mandarin or Arabic (for global partnerships)
