Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps targeting 2026-2030 technological inflection points
- Lead cross-disciplinary R&D teams in prototyping next-gen AI, quantum, and biotech solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging threats and opportunities across 15+ industries
- Present findings to C-suite executives and board members through data-driven futurist briefings
- Secure $10M+ in innovation grants and venture partnerships annually
- Mentor a team of 12 futurist researchers and innovation engineers
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or relevant field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of launching commercialized innovations with $50M+ market impact
- Expertise in scenario planning, technology forecasting, and disruption analysis frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum computing, AGI development trajectories, and climate tech
- Published research in Nature Futures or equivalent peer-reviewed futurist journals
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., APF, WFS) or equivalent strategic foresight training
- Experience securing federal SBIR grants and DARPA-style innovation funding
