Horizon Dynamics offers unparalleled resources for research, including our proprietary Quantum Trend Analysis platform and partnerships with MIT's Future Lab. This position reports directly to our Chief Innovation Officer and includes a $50K annual research budget.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and forecast technological, economic, and societal trends through 2026 using proprietary AI-driven trend modeling
- Develop strategic roadmaps for product innovation and market expansion aligned with future disruptors
- Lead scenario planning workshops with C-suite executives to prepare for multiple future outcomes
- Author annual 'Future State' reports influencing $500M+ investment decisions
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry thought leaders
- Integrate foresight insights into product development cycles and go-to-market strategies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Foresight, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles
- Proven track record of developing successful long-term strategies for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology) and their business applications
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with experience presenting to executive boards
- Certified Futurist (CF) designation or equivalent professional certification
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futures journals or top-tier business publications
