Responsibilities
- Forecast and analyze disruptive technologies with 2026+ market impact (quantum computing, neural interfaces, synthetic biology)
- Develop cross-functional innovation roadmaps aligned with 5-10 year corporate vision
- Lead scenario planning for geopolitical, economic, and technological black swan events
- Partner with venture capital arm to identify and integrate breakthrough startups
- Design and deliver executive briefings on future-state market landscapes
- Establish KPI frameworks for tracking technology adoption readiness
- Lead Horizon's annual 'Future State' symposium with industry thought leaders
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, futurism, or innovation consulting
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum, AI ethics, biotech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or MBA with tech specialization
- Published research or patents in forward-looking technology domains
- Experience advising C-suite on exponential technology adoption
- Deep understanding of Moore's Law, S-curves, and technology convergence
- Exceptional storytelling skills for communicating complex futures
