We're seeking a visionary mind to lead our cross-functional 'Project 2026' initiative, collaborating with R&D, product, and leadership teams to identify disruptive opportunities in AI, quantum computing, biotech, and sustainable tech. This role demands both analytical rigor and creative foresight to turn speculative possibilities into market-leading realities.
Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026+ technology and market shifts
- Develop and maintain the '2026 Innovation Framework' with strategic priorities and risk assessments
- Present quarterly futurist briefings to C-suite stakeholders with data-driven scenario planning
- Partner with R&D to prototype and validate emerging technologies with commercial potential
- Establish thought leadership through white papers, industry talks, and published research
- Drive cross-functional workshops to embed future-thinking into product roadmaps
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts impacting long-term tech adoption landscapes
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or advanced R&D planning
- Proven track record in forecasting technology trends (demonstrated publications preferred)
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies and quantitative trend analysis
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts to executive audiences
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through ambiguous innovation challenges
- Portfolio of successful strategic initiatives with measurable business impact
