Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (2024-2026 horizon) using proprietary forecasting models
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing, biotech convergence, and AI regulation
- Lead cross-functional workshops with Fortune 500 executives on future-proofing initiatives
- Author quarterly Horizon Briefs distributed to 500+ C-level stakeholders
- Collaborate with MIT Media Lab and Stanford AI Institute on predictive research
- Design scenario-planning frameworks for climate-resilient business models
- Mentor junior futurists in Horizon's methodology
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic consulting, futures research, or emerging tech analysis
- Proven track record of predicting tech adoption curves (quantifiable impact)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, neurotech, or climate AI
- Published thought leadership in MIT Technology Review or equivalent tier
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Experience advising C-suite on exponential technology risks/opportunities
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-shaping projects implemented
