Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies, socio-economic shifts, and global megatrends impacting 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks modeling potential futures across geopolitical, technological, and environmental domains
- Design and lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into actionable strategic initiatives
- Author executive-grade trend reports with quantitative and qualitative analysis of disruptive forces
- Champion innovation culture through internal education programs and thought leadership content
- Partner with R&D teams to accelerate prototyping of future-ready solutions
- Monitor and analyze competitor futurism strategies to maintain competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Economics, or related quantitative discipline
- 5+ years in strategic planning, trend analysis, or futurist consulting at Fortune 500 or equivalent
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies (e.g., STEEP, Delphi, cross-impact matrices)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and predictive modeling platforms
- Demonstrated track record of translating foresight into commercial strategy implementation
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategic foresight publications
- Global perspective with understanding of geopolitical and cultural dynamics
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/CF foresight certification) preferred
