Responsibilities

- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs for 2026-capable technologies
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year adoption timelines
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite and board stakeholders securing $5M+ annual R&D budgets
- Drive patent strategy targeting 2026 breakthrough innovations
- Mentor innovation fellows in emerging technology commercialization pathways
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology innovation or R&D leadership with proven 5-year horizon planning success
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AGI, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Executive experience scaling innovation from concept to market ($10M+ product launches)
- Published thought leadership in future-tech journals (e.g., Nature Futures, MIT Tech Review)
- PhD or equivalent in computational science, engineering, or futurism
- Portfolio of 3+ innovations achieving commercial viability within 5-year cycles
- Deep network within DARPA, NSF, or equivalent innovation ecosystems
