As a key member of our R&D division, you'll lead cross-functional teams in developing prototypes, securing intellectual property, and establishing industry benchmarks for 2026-era applications. You'll collaborate with C-suite executives to align innovation initiatives with long-term business objectives while maintaining a startup agility in a Fortune 500 environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology roadmap, identifying disruptive trends in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists in prototyping next-gen solutions
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders for R&D collaboration
- Present innovation strategies to executive stakeholders and secure approval for multi-million dollar budgets
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure innovation ROI and competitive advantage
- Drive intellectual property strategy, including patents and trade secrets for breakthrough technologies
- Mentor emerging talent in emerging technology domains
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in technology innovation or R&D leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching at least two market-defining products/services
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in emerging technologies: generative AI, quantum computing, or advanced robotics
- Strong financial acumen for managing innovation budgets exceeding $5M
- Published research or patents in relevant technology domains
- Exceptional presentation skills for C-level and board audiences
- Experience scaling innovation from concept to global market launch
