Responsibilities
- Design and execute 5-year innovation roadmaps for quantum computing, biotech integration, and AI ethics
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams in developing prototyping frameworks for 2026-era technologies
- Conduct horizon-scanning research across emerging tech verticals (neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology, Web4)
- Collaborate with C-suite to align R&D investments with long-term strategic objectives
- Develop patent portfolios and IP strategies for breakthrough innovations
- Present futuristic concepts to investors, partners, and industry thought leaders
- Mentor junior futurists in trend analysis and technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology innovation or R&D leadership with proven 2025+ tech roadmap delivery
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or advanced AI
- Published thought leadership in futurism journals or major tech publications
- Strong background in ethical tech frameworks and responsible innovation
- Experience securing $10M+ in R&D funding for speculative technologies
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools and trend analysis methodologies
