Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, bio-integrated AI, and climate-positive tech
- Develop 5-year strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with UN SDG targets and market disruption forecasts
- Partner with C-suite to secure $10M+ annual R&D budgets for futuristic projects
- Conduct horizon-scanning for emerging technologies (e.g., neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology)
- Drive patent portfolios and open-source contributions in next-gen tech domains
- Mentor teams in exponential thinking and rapid prototyping methodologies
- Present strategic frameworks to Fortune 500 clients and government innovation labs
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism with 8+ years in R&D leadership
- Proven track record launching 3+ breakthrough products with >$50M ARR impact
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, carbon-negative tech, or neuro-symbolic AI
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Strong network with DARPA, IEEE Future Directions, or similar innovation bodies
- Proficiency in strategic foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, scenario planning)
- Fluency in Python/Go and cloud-native architecture (AWS/GCP) for prototyping
