Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for 2026-era applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead quantum networking protocols for distributed quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit design and control systems
- Establish quantum security frameworks for next-gen cryptography
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and publish research findings
- Partner with NASA, MIT, and DARPA on national quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Publication record in Nature/Science quantum computing papers
- Mastery of Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum materials and cryogenic systems
- Experience leading quantum hardware-software co-design projects
- Clearance for government quantum technology initiatives preferred
