Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for practical industry applications (healthcare, logistics, cryptography)
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using advanced error-correction techniques
- Develop novel quantum machine learning models for predictive analytics
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Strong background in at least one classical programming language (Python, C++)
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated problem-solving for NP-hard computational challenges
