The Role:
As a Quantum Systems Architect, you will be at the helm of our software infrastructure, bridging the gap between theoretical quantum mechanics and practical, scalable software solutions. You will define the architectural standards that will guide our platform for years to come.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Design: Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of scalable quantum algorithms and software stacks tailored for commercial use cases.
- Hardware-Software Integration: Collaborate closely with our hardware engineering team to optimize quantum circuits and ensure seamless compatibility between quantum processors and software layers.
- Infrastructure Strategy: Define the long-term architectural strategy for our quantum cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Research & Development: Conduct rigorous research into emerging quantum computing paradigms and integrate cutting-edge techniques into our product roadmap.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor a team of talented quantum engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Validation: Establish testing frameworks and validation protocols to ensure the reliability and accuracy of quantum software deployments.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Information Science.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 2 years specifically in quantum computing or high-performance computing (HPC).
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust, with hands-on experience using quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or Pennylane.
- Theoretical Knowledge: Deep understanding of linear algebra, probability theory, complex numbers, and quantum mechanics fundamentals.
- Cloud Expertise: Familiarity with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (e.g., AWS Braket, IBM Quantum Experience, Google Cirq).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
