- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify emerging opportunities and disruptive threats
- Produce actionable white papers and executive briefings on future-state implications
- Partner with R&D to prototype solutions for anticipated market needs
- Establish KPIs for measuring strategic alignment with future trends
- Represent the organization at global futurist forums and industry conferences
- Mentor junior strategists in advanced forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic planning, futures research, or innovation leadership
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning techniques
- Advanced degree in Futurism, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional data storytelling and executive communication skills
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFPS preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-shaping initiatives
- Experience scaling foresight processes across enterprise organizations
