Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 5-year strategic foresight frameworks for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate future scenarios into actionable R&D initiatives
- Analyze global tech trends, patent landscapes, and disruption vectors
- Partner with C-suite executives to align organizational strategy with future market shifts
- Produce high-impact trend reports and scenario-planning documents for stakeholders
- Drive innovation workshops with Fortune 500 partners to co-create future solutions
- Mentor junior futurists and build a world-class foresight capability within the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and technology roadmapping
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills with executive audiences and external partners
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation journals
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative foresight methodologies
