You'll lead cross-functional initiatives, secure executive buy-in for transformational projects, and establish Nexus as the benchmark for future-ready innovation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology foresight strategy, identifying disruptive trends across AI, biotech, and clean energy sectors
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate next-gen solutions with 3-5 year impact horizons
- Present strategic roadmaps to executive stakeholders and secure $2M+ annual innovation budgets
- Establish industry partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs to co-create future technologies
- Mentor a team of 5+ futurists and technologists through quarterly innovation bootcamps
- Author whitepapers and thought leadership content positioning Nexus in emerging tech discourse
- Monitor geopolitical and market shifts to adapt innovation strategy in real-time
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in futurist or innovation leadership roles
- Proven track record of developing 5+ year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced AI, and climate tech
- Certifications in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or equivalent innovation methodologies
- Exceptional executive communication skills with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- PhD or Master's degree in Technology Management, Strategic Planning, or related field
- Portfolio of successfully launched future-focused products or initiatives
- Deep network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems and academic circles
