What You'll Achieve:
Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies with 2026 market impact. Develop patent-pending frameworks for technology adoption forecasting. Spearhead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams. Represent Nexus at global tech summits and publish thought leadership in premier industry journals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and technology impact analysis for 2026 market readiness
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging tech adoption (quantum, AI ethics, neurotech)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with 15+ technical stakeholders
- Author patent-pending technology forecasting methodologies
- Present findings to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Manage $2M+ innovation budget for prototype development
- Represent company at Web Summit, CES, and MIT Tech Review events
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in emerging tech commercialization (3+ products)
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies preferred
- Published author in IEEE or Harvard Business Review
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Experience scaling innovation teams from 5 to 50+ members
- Patent portfolio or industry award recognition
- Fluency in Mandarin/Spanish for global stakeholder engagement
