Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 2026 technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech integration
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Develop patent portfolios and IP strategies for emerging tech innovations
- Present findings to C-suite executives and board members with compelling data-driven narratives
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government research labs
- Mentor junior futurists and innovation specialists in future-focused methodologies
- Author thought leadership publications for industry conferences and peer-reviewed journals
- Oversee pilot programs for experimental technologies in controlled environments
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD/Master's) in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies with 7+ years relevant experience
- Proven track record in technology forecasting and strategic innovation planning
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neuromorphic computing
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical information
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced R&D environments
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals or major tech publications
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem
- Certification in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight (preferred)
