Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, Web3) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market trends
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with research institutions and tech pioneers
- Present futuristic scenarios to executive teams and board of directors
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts affecting technology adoption
- Build and mentor a team of futurist analysts and innovation specialists
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in tech strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record of forecasting technology trends with documented impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., AI ethics, quantum computing)
- Experience developing scenario planning frameworks for C-suite decision-making
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to articulate complex futures
- Published thought leadership in technology or business journals
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from World Future Society) preferred
