Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for 2026-era technologies including quantum computing, neural interfaces, and sustainable AI
- Lead cross-functional teams of researchers, engineers, and designers to prototype future-facing solutions
- Identify emerging tech trends and assess their commercial viability for our portfolio
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Present visionary concepts to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Secure and manage R&D budgets exceeding $5M annually
- Drive innovation through our proprietary FutureLab incubation program
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology R&D with demonstrated impact on future-focused initiatives
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, bioinformatics, AR/VR, etc.)
- Proven track record of scaling innovative concepts to market-ready products
- Exceptional strategic thinking and scenario planning abilities
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Experience managing distributed global research teams
- Deep understanding of ethical implications of next-gen technologies
