Responsibilities
- Design and implement auditable ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and generative AI models
- Lead stakeholder workshops with C-suite executives to align AI strategy with corporate values
- Develop policy whitepapers and regulatory recommendations for federal technology initiatives
- Conduct scenario planning for AI risk mitigation (bias amplification, existential threats)
- Partner with engineering teams to embed ethics-by-design principles in MLOps pipelines
- Represent the organization at global AI governance summits and policy forums
- Mentor ethics officers at client organizations across healthcare, finance, and defense sectors
Qualifications
- PhD or advanced degree in AI Ethics, Philosophy of Technology, Public Policy, or Juris Doctor
- 7+ years experience in tech ethics, AI governance, or regulatory compliance
- Deep expertise in EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and OECD AI Principles frameworks
- Published research on algorithmic bias, value alignment, or AI safety mechanisms
- Experience testifying before legislative bodies or regulatory commissions
- Proficiency in Python for ethical auditing of ML models
- Fluency in cross-cultural ethical frameworks (Eastern/Western philosophy)
- Track record of scaling ethics programs in enterprise environments
