Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive AI ethics policies and compliance protocols for emerging technologies
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments on machine learning models
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed ethical safeguards into AI development pipelines
- Lead stakeholder engagements with regulators, industry partners, and community representatives
- Monitor evolving AI legislation (e.g., EU AI Act, US AI Bill of Rights) and adapt frameworks accordingly
- Create transparency reports documenting AI system decision-making processes
- Train cross-functional teams on responsible AI deployment practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Law, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 3+ years in AI governance, compliance, or tech ethics role
- Deep understanding of machine learning model architectures and deployment
- Experience with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, NIST AI RMF)
- Strong analytical skills for identifying algorithmic bias and ethical risks
- Certification in AI ethics (e.g., IEEE Ethically Aligned Design) or equivalent
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Proven track record of developing enterprise-wide AI governance policies
