As we scale our proprietary neural networks, we are seeking a visionary AI Ethics & Governance Lead to ensure our technology aligns with global safety standards, human rights, and transparency. This is a pivotal role for a thought leader who can navigate the complex intersection of code, culture, and compliance.
In this role, you will define the ethical guardrails for our most advanced models, working directly with our engineering and research teams to build responsible AI systems that serve humanity.
Responsibilities
- Develop Governance Frameworks: Establish comprehensive AI ethics policies and governance structures that align with emerging regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI Risk Management Framework).
- Conduct Impact Audits: Perform rigorous bias audits and impact assessments on proprietary algorithms to identify and mitigate potential societal harms.
- Collaborate with Engineering: Partner with technical leads to integrate ethical considerations into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and model training processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between the board, investors, and external partners regarding our AI safety initiatives and transparency reports.
- Trend Analysis: Monitor the global regulatory landscape for AI to ensure Nexus Future Labs remains ahead of compliance curve.
- Education & Advocacy: Train internal teams on ethical AI principles and promote a culture of responsibility across the organization.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in AI/ML ethics, policy development, or a related field, preferably within a high-tech or research environment.
- Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, natural language processing, and data science methodologies.
- Legal/Regulatory Knowledge: Deep knowledge of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and international AI regulatory trends.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical and ethical concepts into clear, actionable strategies for diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve ethical dilemmas with practical, scalable solutions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Law, Philosophy, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
