Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI ethics frameworks for autonomous systems and machine learning applications
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments across AI training datasets and models
- Develop governance protocols for AI deployment in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, autonomous systems)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on ethical AI principles
- Stay ahead of emerging AI regulations and international standards (EU AI Act, US AI Bill of Rights)
- Create transparency documentation for AI decision-making processes
- Mentor junior engineers on responsible AI development practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in AI governance, data ethics, or responsible AI implementation
- Deep expertise in fairness, accountability, and transparency (FAT) principles
- Experience with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act)
- Strong background in statistical analysis and bias detection methodologies
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Published work in AI ethics or demonstrated thought leadership in the field
