Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics governance frameworks for autonomous systems
- Conduct bias audits on machine learning models using fairness metrics
- Lead cross-functional workshops on responsible AI deployment
- Author industry whitepapers on AI ethics policy and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical design principles
- Monitor emerging AI regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, US Algorithmic Accountability Act)
- Mentor junior researchers in ethics-first AI development
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years' AI ethics experience
- Published research on algorithmic bias mitigation or fairness in ML
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks governing AI (GDPR, NIST AI RMF)
- Proficiency in Python for bias auditing tools (AIF360, Fairlearn)
- Experience collaborating with product/engineering teams on ethical design
- Deep understanding of cognitive bias in human-AI interaction
- Strong track record of translating ethical principles into technical requirements
