Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics frameworks aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Conduct ethical risk assessments for AI projects and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate potential harms
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate ethical considerations into the AI development lifecycle
- Monitor and audit AI systems for bias, fairness, and transparency, reporting findings to leadership
- Educate and train teams on AI ethics principles and responsible AI practices
- Engage with stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and the public, to address ethical concerns
- Stay abreast of emerging ethical issues and regulatory developments in AI and adapt strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; PhD preferred
- 5+ years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or similar role, preferably in tech
- Deep understanding of ethical principles, bias mitigation, and fairness in AI systems
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to evaluate complex ethical dilemmas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, etc.)
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and driving organizational change
