Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in next-gen AI architectures and neural network optimization
- Develop novel algorithms for quantum machine learning and unsupervised learning
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (NeurIPS, ICML, Nature AI) and present at global conferences
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype and validate research breakthroughs
- Secure external funding through NSF, DARPA, and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent portfolio development
- Identify emerging ethical frameworks for AI deployment in regulated industries
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years of published research in AI/ML with 20+ citations per paper (Google Scholar)
- Expertise in at least two of: Transformers, Reinforcement Learning, Federated Learning, or Explainable AI
- Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and distributed computing frameworks
- Strong track record of translating research into production systems (GitHub portfolio required)
- Experience securing government or corporate research grants
- Deep understanding of AI safety protocols and bias mitigation techniques
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
