Responsibilities
- Maintain precise temperature control in refrigerated/freezer environments (-20°F to 45°F)
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and refrigerated transport equipment safely
- Inspect and rotate inventory using FIFO protocols to ensure product quality
- Comply with OSHA, FDA, and HACCP safety standards for cold storage facilities
- Document inventory movements and environmental conditions using digital systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration units and monitoring equipment
- Train new staff on cold safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Coordinate with logistics team for efficient loading/unloading of perishable goods
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of cold storage or warehouse experience in temperature-controlled environments
- Valid OSHA forklift certification and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in sub-zero temperatures
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and digital inventory tracking
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable for diverse workforce
