Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in -20°F to 40°F storage zones
- Operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and cold storage equipment following OSHA safety standards
- Inspect and organize perishable inventory using FIFO rotation methods
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming/outgoing shipments
- Complete digital inventory logs and warehouse management system entries
- Adhere to HACCP and USDA food safety protocols
- Participate in monthly safety drills and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain company-sponsored certification)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and food safety awareness
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand/walk 8+ hours
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
