Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in sub-zero environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Monitor and document temperature/humidity levels using digital monitoring systems
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory in multi-zone cold storage
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold environments
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS software systems
- Perform preventative equipment maintenance on cooling units
- Train new associates on cold safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience required
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly in cold conditions
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail in temperature-sensitive operations
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including nights/weekends)
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
