Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in cold storage zones using digital monitoring systems
- Safely load/unload refrigerated trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Perform inventory counts and cycle counts in sub-zero environments
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold storage operations
- Operate refrigeration equipment and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
- Sanitize and maintain cleanliness of cold storage facilities and equipment
- Document temperature logs and warehouse activities in compliance with food safety standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or refrigerated warehouse environments
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -10°F (-23°C) for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
