Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load/unload refrigerated trailers and organize inventory in cold environments (32°F-45°F)
- Inspect and maintain cold storage equipment, reporting malfunctions immediately
- Adhere to HACCP, OSHA, and FDA safety standards for food handling
- Monitor temperature logs and humidity levels to ensure product integrity
- Perform inventory counts and cycle checks using warehouse management systems
- Collaborate with shipping/receiving teams for efficient product flow
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with sanitation protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or refrigerated warehouse environment
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
