As a Cold Storage Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our inventory is stored safely and retrieved efficiently in our state-of-the-art climate-controlled facility.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate picking, packing, and shipping of goods while adhering to strict inventory control procedures.
- Operational Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by following all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move stock and materials.
- Climate Control Compliance: Monitor and document temperature logs to ensure product integrity and regulatory compliance in cold storage environments.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and accuracy, reporting discrepancies immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency and meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in cold environments (-10°F to 32°F).
- Reliability: Must have a reliable work history and be available for overtime and weekend shifts as required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not always required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and documentation.
- Equipment Knowledge: Basic understanding of forklift safety and warehouse machinery is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly for safety instructions and reporting.
