Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in cold storage areas
- Safely load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory using FIFO methods
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to HACCP protocols and sanitation standards for food safety
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts in climate-controlled environments
- Complete inventory counts and documentation using warehouse management systems
- Participate in safety drills and maintain OSHA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 1 year warehouse/cold storage experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Food Handler's Certificate (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
