Responsibilities
- Maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels in cold storage facilities (-10°F to 40°F zones)
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory
- Inspect and record equipment readings to comply with FDA safety standards
- Sanitize work areas and equipment following HACCP protocols
- Assist with inventory management using WMS systems and barcode scanning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow efficiency
- Respond to temperature alerts and troubleshoot minor equipment issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP/SQF)
- Strong attention to detail and physical stamina for lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
