Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal cold storage temperatures (-10°F to 40°F) using digital monitoring systems
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks with perishable goods using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Organize and rotate inventory according to FIFO protocols in multi-zone cold rooms
- Conduct daily safety inspections of refrigeration equipment and emergency systems
- Maintain accurate inventory logs and temperature documentation in digital tracking systems
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA standards for cold environment safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or refrigerated logistics preferred
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work in sub-zero environments for extended periods (4-6 hour shifts)
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds regularly and operate material handling equipment
