Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in -10°F to -20°F environments using company-provided thermal equipment
- Maintain inventory accuracy in refrigerated zones using barcode scanning systems
- Monitor and record temperature/humidity levels using digital monitoring tools
- Perform sanitation protocols on equipment and storage surfaces following HACCP standards
- Inspect and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance team
- Safely load/unload refrigerated trucks using provided hydraulic dollies
- Rotate stock using FIFO methods to ensure product freshness
Qualifications
- Ability to work in temperatures below 0°F for extended periods
- Valid California Driver's License (required for equipment operation)
- OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly with mechanical assistance
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation
- Reliable transportation to 24/7 rotating shift schedule
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- No prior cold storage experience necessary – full training provided
