Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels in refrigerated/freezer units
- Inspect, load, and unload temperature-controlled shipments
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and cold storage equipment safely
- Adhere to HACCP, FDA, and OSHA safety protocols
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies
- Sanitize storage areas and equipment using approved methods
- Document temperature logs and maintenance records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures (-10°F to 40°F)
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Flexible availability including nights/weekends
