Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature zones (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer sections
- Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and cold storage monitoring systems
- Inspect and rotate inventory using FIFO methods to prevent spoilage
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold environments
- Perform routine sanitation of equipment and storage areas
- Document inventory movements and temperature logs accurately
- Collaborate with team during high-volume receiving/shipping cycles
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in sub-zero temperatures
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (including weekends)
- OSHA-approved cold weather gear provided
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
