Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain refrigeration equipment including blast freezers and cold docks
- Safely handle and organize perishable goods in 0°F to -20°F environments
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain strict inventory control using RFID scanners and digital tracking systems
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold storage operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient logistics coordination
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in refrigerated warehouse or cold storage environment
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain company-sponsored training
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hour shifts
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
