Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperatures in refrigerated/freezer units
- Safely load/unload perishable goods using provided pallet jacks and forklifts
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to HACCP and FDA food safety protocols
- Operate inventory management systems for cold chain tracking
- Maintain organized storage with FIFO rotation methods
- Participate in deep cleaning and sanitation schedules
Qualifications
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures (equipment provided)
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking
- Commitment to safety procedures (PPE provided)
- Reliable transportation to Northwest DC facility
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds with provided mechanical assistance
- No prior cold storage experience required
- Valid government-issued ID for background check
