Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (equipment provided) to move refrigerated products efficiently
- Maintain optimal temperature levels in cold storage areas (-10°F to 40°F)
- Perform inventory counts and stock rotation using warehouse management systems
- Adhere to strict HACCP and OSHA safety protocols in refrigerated environments
- Inspect and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance team
- Sanitize storage areas and equipment following FDA guidelines
- Load/unload trucks while maintaining proper cold chain integrity
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain with company training)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly with proper techniques
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
