Responsibilities
- Operate refrigerated warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) in sub-zero environments (-10°F to 30°F)
- Monitor and document temperature/humidity levels using digital sensors and automated systems
- Inspect, sort, and package frozen/dry goods according to FDA standards
- Conduct daily equipment safety checks and maintenance reports
- Implement FIFO inventory rotation using WMS barcode scanning technology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless loading/unloading of refrigerated trucks
- Adhere to OSHA and USDA safety protocols in all cold storage zones
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Forklift certification (or ability to pass company test)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly in extreme temperatures
- Basic computer literacy for inventory scanning systems
- Strong attention to detail for quality control documentation
- Flexible availability including nights/weekends for 24/7 operations
- Valid Florida driver's license preferred
