Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in refrigerated environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory in cold storage facilities
- Maintain strict sanitation and food safety protocols (HACCP compliance)
- Conduct quality control checks on perishable goods
- Operate warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations
- Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines for cold storage environments
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (including weekends)
