Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely drive forklifts, pallet jacks, and other industrial equipment to move stock throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the receiving, stocking, and picking of products, ensuring accurate counts and organization within the freezer and cooler zones.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Freight Handling: Load and unload trucks efficiently, verifying shipment contents and resolving any discrepancies immediately.
- Temperature Control: Monitor environmental conditions and report any maintenance issues or temperature fluctuations to management.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage environment is a plus but not always required.
- Licensing: Ability to obtain a valid forklift operator certification within the first 30 days of employment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and work in cold environments (below 32°F).
- Reliability: Must have a reliable means of transportation and a positive attitude toward safety and teamwork.
