Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer units using digital monitoring systems
- Safely load/unload perishable goods using pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual handling techniques
- Conduct daily inventory audits with barcode scanning and WMS software
- Implement strict HACCP and OSHA protocols for food safety and workplace safety
- Operate blast freezers, cold rooms, and refrigerated transport vehicles
- Document temperature logs and sanitation procedures using digital tablets
- Coordinate with warehouse supervisors for efficient product rotation (FIFO)
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or refrigerated warehouse operations
- OSHA 10-Hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Forklift certification (or ability to pass certification test)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Basic proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., Oracle WMS)
- Strong attention to detail and food safety compliance knowledge
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Valid California Driver's License (required for vehicle operation)
